Central Goldfields

Laanecoorie - Dunolly - Newbridge

About 12 km east of Dunolly along the road to Eddington. Built in 1889, this was one of Victoria's first reservoirs. It is a popular spot for picnicking, swimming, boating, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, fishing, water-skiing, bushwalking, a playground and camping. A great spot for afternoon tea.

Dunolly

As many as 60,000 people flocked to Dunolly after the discovery of rich gold deposits. Most of these of course were diggers intent on striking it rich with a lucky find. Broadway, Dunolly’s main street, stretched for several kilometres and was lined on both sides with timber and canvas structures. Take a stroll down the main street and take the history in.

Newbridge

There's 2 great things to do in Newbridge. One is crossing over the bridge and the other is going to the Pub. For those that don't want a quick one, there's always a hot cuppa waiting near the bus
